On October 14th at 7 PM, St. William of York and the Knights of the Father Widmer Council welcome back Steve Weidenkopf to present "Protestant Reformation... or Revolution!". During this presentation Steve will discuss how early Protestant reformers, such as Martin Luther and John Calvin, are incorrectly portrayed as holy and righteous men who freed the Christian faith from the yoke of an oppressive papacy. The historical reality is they did not return Christianity to an earlier pristine condition, but rather attempted to refashion Christianity in their own image and dramatically affected the Church and western Civilization. Steve Weidenkopf, a lecturer of Church history at the Notre Dame Graduate School of Christendom College, is an engaging speaker and calm apologist who will help Knights and fellow parishioners understand the Protestant reformation with an authentic Catholic perspective.
